The Hobart Stadium pitch is quite smooth to bat on and many times we have seen some high scoring matches at this venue. The Bellerive Oval is also a venue where teams like to chase as the pitch often progressively get better and settled as the match wears on.

PITCH REPORT

The 12th match of Big Bash League 2022-23 is going to be held at Junction Oval, Melbourne. We had observed in the previous matches played here that the pitch here at this venue is good for batting. The track is slower than the others we have seen and helps the spinners quite a bit. We are hoping that the surface is bound to get slower and be a bit more difficult for batting in this match. A score of 185 is going to be tough to chase.

SHERE BANGLA NATIONAL STADIUM, DHAKA 

PITCH REPORT

Generally, the Dhaka surface is the best suited for the Bangladesh team, a venue where they have thrashed the bigger teams because of how spin-friendly it is. The pitch in Dhaka will be much less batting-friendly than it was in Chattogram, which had a slow and low surface. Expect spinners to run the game and batters will be demanded to grind harder than they did in Chattogram.

PITCH REPORT

The pacers however would not enjoy bowling in Sydney as much as they would in any other venue in Australia. The Sydney Cricket Ground’s Pitch does not have the bounce and carry as is in the venues like the Gabba and MCG. Although, the spinners would be able to benefit from SCG pitch as it offers some spin and plays a bit slow as well.

Geelong stadium pitch offers some assistance to the bowlers initially before getting settled down. In the 7 BBL matches played at this venue, 4 matches were won by the teams that were chasing. A total in the vicinity of 160-170 would be a competitive one here as the pitch at times also show the tendency to slow down as the match progresses.

PITCH REPORT

The Adelaide Oval is a competitive track with the average first innings total last season being 160. The pacers picked up nearly 65 percent of the wickets last year, but there should be some help available for the spinners as well. The longer dimensions of the ground should also play into the hands of the bowlers. The pitch should not change much during the game, with chasing likely to be the preferred choice upon winning the toss.
